Here's The Difference Between Top And Bottom Performers
Salespeople-- Here's the difference between top and bottom performers.
The answer is really simple. It's one's ability to be laser focused all day, every day. It's a level of self-discipline that bottom performers don't have.
Walk around any sales floor and the one thing you'll always notice is top performers are laser focused throughout the day, and they do this consistently.
They don't need a manager reminding them to keep dialing. They're not chatting it up with their neighbors from 9-6. They're completely focused on their daily routine.
They're the ones you hear talking on the phone all day. Their headset rarely comes off, and when it does, it's usually for a quick bathroom break or to grab some caffeine before their next call.
These salespeople value their time in the office and they get the most out of every minute. They don't see a purpose in going to work if they're not going to maximize their day. They couldn't care less about what's going on around them... they don't even notice it.
If you're not one of these people, you definitely know it. The question is, do you want to be? And if you do, what are you going to do to make it happen?
My advice, quit making excuses and just do it. If you're not on a demo, make a cold call, otherwise, why are you in sales?
