This needs to stop. Not because it's annoying (it is) but because it doesn't work.


Stop giving an elevator pitch and asking for someone's time in your opening message. Instead, start a conversation and begin engaging with prospects. Ask questions and don't ask for them to book a meeting before they've engaged in conversation.


Be curious to learn about their current situation, ask questions to initiate a real dialogue. If you do an amazing job, they'll ask you for the meeting.

Ask questions. Start a conversation. One question leads to the next. If you're curious to learn if they actually have a problem you can solve... that's what effective outreach is all about. Don't assume your prospects have a problem you can solve. Your product is great, I'm sure it is, but until they recognize that on their own, they're not booking a meeting.
